Recently in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, Mr. Zheng married his girlfriend, which surprised their relatives and friends. What’s astonishing is that the two had played a married couple walking down the red carpet in a stage performance during kindergarten, and now, 20 years later, they are actually getting married.
According to Mr. Zheng’s introduction to the Xiaoxiang Morning News, during a performance in kindergarten, he was suddenly arranged by the teacher to act as a groom with a little girl. They didn’t know each other at the time, were not in the same grade, had no interaction until college, and didn’t even know each other’s names.
It wasn’t until 2022 when a classmate shared a video from that time in a group chat. After sharing it with his mother, she suggested finding that little girl to see if they could “continue their fate”. With the help of the kindergarten teacher, Mr. Zheng successfully contacted the girl, who happened to be single.
They reestablished contact and finally walked into the wedding hall three years later.
Mr. Zheng couldn’t help but marvel: “On January 7, 2025, we once again took the stage in the same costumes, this time hand in hand entering the real marriage hall. It feels like fate is truly amazing.”
