Zhang Shuwei and Xie Jingying met and fell in love in March 2023 while working on the drama “The Aristocratic Family” together. Less than half a year later, they registered their marriage in December of the same year. Today (9th), they held their wedding banquet at the Taipei Marriott Hotel with 36 tables set up, costing about 3 million New Taiwan Dollars. Many friends from the entertainment industry attended to congratulate them, including all the members of the group Energy.
Zhang Shuwei is a member of the boy band Energy, and he and Xie Jingying bonded over their collaboration on the local drama. Despite a 13-year age gap, they publicly declared their relationship in May after six months of dating and got married in mid-December last year.
Following traditional customs, the couple’s wedding preparations began in late January 2024 when they returned to the bride’s hometown in Pingtung for the engagement ceremony. Finally, the big day arrived, and various ceremonies took place early in the morning.
In an interview, Xie Jingying shared her feelings as she bid farewell to her parents in the morning, expressing her emotions. Although her younger sister got married before her, her family still found it hard to let her go.
Zhang Shuwei expressed that the long-awaited day had finally arrived, and he felt much calmer. During the rehearsal last week, he was moved to tears watching his father-in-law escort Xie Jingying down the aisle. He reassured her father, saying, “I won’t let you down.”
Zhang Shuwei disclosed that his wife, Xie Jingying, took charge of all the arrangements for the wedding this time. She even personally signed 300 blessing cards and wedding candies, leaving him only with the task of signing his name.
As all the members of Energy attended, Kunda took on the responsibility of being the wedding host with sincerity. He and Niunai reminded Zhang Shuwei of important things to pay attention to during the wedding and shared tips on how to manage a marriage, saying, “Don’t put your phone on silent during work. When your wife messages you, reply immediately.”
As for their plan to have children, Zhang Shuwei mentioned that they would wait until after Xie Jingying finishes filming the television series and after Energy’s concert before beginning to plan for their honeymoon and starting a family.
