South Korean actor Byeong Yoo-sik has become popular for his role in the hit Korean drama “Running with Sun Seo-woo.” However, he has recently been facing chaos at events due to the overwhelming presence of fans. On the 30th, his agency issued a statement urging fans to restrain themselves and avoid behaviors that may jeopardize safety or invade the artist’s privacy.
VARO Entertainment stated, “Recently, there have been incidents of disorder and safety concerns caused by crowds at the artist’s events. In order to protect our artists and promote a more mature fan culture, we would like to inform everyone about this issue. Firstly, several fans have visited the artist’s private schedules without permission, causing significant losses to both the artist and the organizers. Therefore, we urge fans not to go to unofficial events without permission, aside from publicly announced schedules.”
Additionally, VARO mentioned, “To prevent accidents arising from chaos when fans visit official events, we advise fans to refrain from behaviors such as getting too close to the artist, directly handing over letters or gifts, and any other actions that could potentially lead to accidents involving both fans and the artist.”
Regarding letters and gifts, VARO reiterated that for safety reasons, letters or gifts should not be handed directly to the actor but should be given to the manager instead. The company also encourages fans to send letters or gifts to the company, where staff will ensure they are properly delivered to the artist.
VARO Entertainment also addressed fans’ stalking behaviors, stating, “We prohibit following vehicles after the artist’s schedules, as well as unauthorized visits to residences or other private spaces for filming, illegally obtaining personal information, and any other acts that intrude upon the artist’s privacy. We will take serious legal measures against such behavior. Once again, we thank fans for their love and support, and our company will strive to ensure the safety of both the artists and the fans.”
