“Century Baby” autopsy results revealed

“Century Baby” Jie Yueqian (Qianqian) tragically passed away on March 9 in Changzhi City, Shanxi Province at the young age of 25, with the hospital accused of insufficient rescue efforts. The Shanxi Provincial Medical Adjustment Commission organized experts to conduct an assessment, and on April 8, the assessment results were released.

Qianqian was born at 00:00 on January 1, 2000, hence earning the title of “Century Baby.” According to previous reports by Extreme Vision News, in early March this year, Qianqian had a fever and abdominal pain, endured a stiff abdomen for 5 days, and on March 8, she traveled back home to Changzhi alone by long-distance bus. That night around 8 p.m., she was brought to the hospital by her family and collapsed into a coma around 5 a.m. the next day, then transferred to the ICU for rescue efforts. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead that same night, with the hospital citing sudden cardiac death as the cause of death.

However, some insiders believe that during the 9-hour treatment process, the hospital treated Qianqian merely as a common cold patient, leading to a delayed diagnosis and ultimately resulting in the tragic event.

Qianqian’s mother, Ms. Yue, also expressed disbelief, stating that her daughter had always been in good health and had recently obtained a diving license, so how could she suddenly fall ill.

The family of Qianqian submitted a complaint report to the Changzhi Municipal Health Commission.

On the evening of April 8, Ms. Yue informed the media that she received feedback from the Medical Adjustment Commission in the afternoon, stating that the assessment results were in. She said, “The assessment results align with our judgment and expectations. We hope the hospital will issue an apology and compensation based on these results. At the same time, they should optimize the treatment process to prevent such tragedies from happening again.”

However, Ms. Yue did not disclose detailed information about the assessment, mentioning only to refer to the information released by relevant departments.

On April 9, the topic resurfaced and became a hot search once again.
