Central and Southern Taiwan Hit by Heavy Rain, Four Counties and Cities to Suspend Work and Classes on the 29th

The Taiwan Central Weather Bureau stated that due to the southwest airflow and the influence of the outer circulation of Typhoon Bamboo Grass No. 8, heavy rain is expected in central and southern Taiwan today (28th) and is expected to continue until the 30th. The Personnel Administration Office of the Executive Yuan has announced the following work and school suspension information for the 29th:

Chiayi City: Normal work and school

Chiayi County: Work and school suspended

Tainan City: Work and school suspended

Kaohsiung City: Work and school suspended

Pingtung County: Work and school suspended

The Taiwan Central Weather Bureau issued a heavy rain warning at 7:15 pm today, with heavy rain expected in the following areas: Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, and Hengchun Peninsula. Regions with heavy rain include: mountainous areas of Taoyuan City, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Yunlin County, Chiayi City, Chiayi County, Hualien County, and mountainous areas of Taitung County.

Areas with just rain include: north coast of Keelung, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu City, Hsinchu County, Changhua County, Nantou County, Yilan County, Taitung County, and Penghu County.
