At 56 years old, Celine Dion announced in December 2022 that she was diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome. Due to this condition that has affected her vocal cords and restricted her mobility, she had to put her performing career on hold, canceling all remaining tours.

In February of this year, Celine Dion made a surprise appearance at the Grammy Awards ceremony where she received a standing ovation when presenting an album award. On July 26, she returned to the stage, stunning the audience by appearing at the Eiffel Tower in Paris to perform the finale at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics with a rendition of “The Power of Love,” energizing the crowd.

Despite not being fully recovered, every public appearance by Celine Dion in recent times becomes a focal point of attention. Most recently, she made headlines again by showing up at a Sunday American football game, not only discussing the connection between her song “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” and the game but also visibly having two staff members pour two large buckets of approximately 10 liters of Gatorade directly over her.
