California Man Returns Home After Fire, Shockingly Finds Large Black Bear Occupying it

In an unexpected turn of events following the Eaton Fire last month in California, a man evacuated his residence only to return and discover a massive black bear inhabiting his home. The bear, weighing several hundred pounds, was found leisurely wandering around the swimming pool during the day and nesting under the man’s house at night, showing no signs of intending to leave.

According to a report by KTLA on February 18, the man identified as Sean Lorenzini resides in Pasadena, California. He encountered a bear named Yogi, who had made itself at home, venturing out only to search for food.

Lorenzini revealed that Yogi stands at 7 feet tall and undoubtedly weighs between 500 to 600 pounds.

Glen Ferris, a neighbor of Lorenzini, mentioned that Yogi has been residing under the house since the fire occurred, showing no inclination to depart. The bear left claw marks on trash cans in the area and even forcibly entered a container that was supposed to be bear-proof.

Residents believe Yogi has been a long-time resident in the area. Older footage suggests the bear looked younger and slimmer in the past. However, they noted that this prolonged stay was unusual.

Lorenzini expressed the complications this extended visit brought, causing delays in repairing his house and resulting in damages. He mentioned, “Some of our fuses have been tripped, so it’s apparent that he’s messing around down there. Some insulative materials have been pulled out.”

Lorenzini hopes that wildlife officials can safely relocate Yogi before the situation escalates. He stated, “I want him out, I don’t want him to get hurt, but I need him out, and I think he will come back.”

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife officials acknowledged the bear residing under Lorenzini’s house and mentioned they are actively seeking the best approach to safely move it before any further incidents occur.
