Bus carrying actors crashes in Jiangxi, resulting in 2 deaths and more than 20 injuries

On August 18th, a bus carrying performing artists in Xiaoyi, Shanxi province, was involved in a traffic accident. Local authorities reported that the incident occurred at Haojiawan Village, with 22 people on board. Two women died on the spot, while others sustained injuries.

A video footage showed a tour bus filled with performers in elaborate costumes and makeup, with the background music playing the song “Good Days”.

Another video depicted a heavy truck parked by the roadside, with shattered glass and car parts scattered on the ground.

Next to it, a bus with the words “Town and Country Bus” on its body appeared severely damaged, with all the windows shattered and the seats torn. Many people were standing in front of the bus, with two passengers wearing costumes lying back on the seats.

According to a report by “Xiaoxiang Morning News” on August 18th, a staff member from Xiaoyi City Traffic Police Brigade confirmed that indeed a bus carrying performers was involved in an accident, but specific details were unclear.

A staff member from the Jianchang Village Committee in Xiaoyi revealed that the incident took place at Haojiawan Village and there were reports of casualties.

Subsequently, another staff member from the Haojiawan Village Committee confirmed that the incident occurred on the morning of the 18th, behind Haojiawan Village. This staff member stated that the performers were on their way to a temple fair. The bus was carrying a total of 22 people, with “two women dead on the spot, two critically injured and sent to the hospital, and others slightly injured.”

An informed netizen claimed that the bus collided with a truck, resulting in the deaths of two women on the spot, two critically injured, and others with varying degrees of injuries. Currently, all the injured have been taken to the hospital.

A medical personnel from Xiaoyi Central Hospital stated that the hospital had received more than ten people with injuries from the accident, but it’s still unclear whether the critically injured individuals are out of danger.
