Summer has arrived, and Bryant Park’s 32nd annual “Summer Movie Nights” are back as scheduled! Every Monday evening, grab your friends and picnic blankets, head to this green space located in the heart of Manhattan, and enjoy a free movie under the stars—a truly wonderful experience.
The “Paramount Summer Movie Nights” are sponsored by the Hospital for Special Surgery, Wonder Foods, and Vulture Media. The park’s lawn opens at 5 p.m. every Monday, with movies starting promptly at 8 p.m. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis, no tickets needed, but popular screenings often draw long lines, so arriving early is advised.
Before the movie begins, viewers can visit the food market at the Fountain Terrace to purchase treats such as chocolate-covered strawberries, Japanese sandwiches, and other snacks. The bar tent at the back of the lawn provides summer drinks for the audience.
During the wait before the movie starts, film enthusiasts can take on Vulture’s movie-themed puzzle game “Cinematrix” while enjoying free samples of potato chips and avocado dip from the Wonder booth, creating a vibrant film culture atmosphere.
The movies screened this season have been carefully curated by the organizers, featuring a mix of art films, comedies, action movies, and more. From the opening film “Pretty In Pink” to the grand finale “The Godfather,” each selection is a classic in its own right.
Upcoming screenings include: July 14th “Interstellar”; July 21st “Ghost”; July 28th “Pulp Fiction”; August 4th “Blades of Glory”; August 11th “The Godfather”.
Admission is free, and it is recommended to bring picnic blankets and light blankets. Stay tuned to Bryant Park’s official website and social media pages for the latest updates on weather and screening information.
