The annual Macy’s Independence Day Fireworks Show is set to take place on the evening of July 4th (Friday) in New York City. The fireworks will be launched from the Brooklyn Bridge and four barges on the East River, illuminating the beautiful skyline of the city. The fireworks show will last for 25 minutes and is expected to start at 9:25 pm. The only public viewing area in Brooklyn is at Brooklyn Bridge Park, where tickets are required for entry. Tickets are free and will be available through a lottery starting on July 1st.
On the day of the event, 80,000 fireworks shells will be launched, showcasing up to 30 different colors and effects such as golden crown jellyfish, atomic halo, yellow-green sunrise, lemon waterfall, and comet fan. The shells will soar over 1,000 feet high, lighting up the entire sky over the East River.
All piers at Brooklyn Bridge Park will be closed on the day of the event. Only a few areas, such as bike lanes, dog runs, restrooms, and playgrounds, will be open from the morning until 3:30 pm. Ticket holders will be allowed to enter the viewing area starting at 6:30 pm. Large backpacks, lounge chairs, tents, umbrellas, and similar items are prohibited from being brought into the park, and there will be security checkpoints at the entrance.
A total of 100,000 tickets will be available through the lottery starting on July 1st. Macy’s does not sell any VIP viewing tickets. More details about the lottery will be announced soon, so please stay tuned for official updates. For more information and to participate in the lottery, visit: https://brooklynbridgepark.org/july4/
