Brooklyn Chinese-American Teenager Beaten by Group, Community Plans Anti-Bullying Event

Recently, a video circulating on Chinese social media platforms has sparked outrage within the community. The video shows a teenager being brutally beaten by a group of his peers, causing shock and anger among Chinese netizens. In response, the local Chinese community is organizing an anti-bullying event scheduled for this afternoon (April 23).

In the video, filmed at the Rainbow Playground in Sunset Park, several teenagers in their teens can be seen kicking and punching a teenager in black clothing, knocking him to the ground. Not content with just that, they continue to physically assault him, with one even stepping on the victim as he lies on the ground. The group then proceeds to ruthlessly kick the fallen teenager several times before walking away amidst cries from onlookers and the person recording the incident, expressing disbelief at the cruelty displayed.

It was only after the attack that the victim managed to stand up, wiping what appeared to be blood from his mouth before leaving the scene.

Subsequent footage shows the assailants being handcuffed and taken away by the police.

This incident has sparked anger and outrage within the Chinese community. The Brooklyn Chinese community is now gearing up to convene an event today at 3 p.m. at Rainbow Playground to discuss measures for preventing bullying.
