Brad Pitt abandoned by three daughters without notification

Hollywood star Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s 7-year-long divorce dispute finally came to an end on the last day of last year. The feud between the two seemed to also affect their children’s choices. Their eldest daughter Shiloh, after last year’s court application to drop her father’s surname, has recently appeared in public events using the name “Shi Joli.”

According to Variety magazine, 19-year-old Shiloh attended a fashion brand Isabel Marant and Net-A-Porter’s joint dinner on May 29th, appearing as a dance choreographer. She was responsible for choreographing singer Luella’s performance of the song “Naïve” and performed alongside the dancers. Everyone present referred to her as “Shi Joli,” indicating that the new name was officially in use.

Shiloh, who had voiced a character in “Kung Fu Panda 3,” turned 18 last May 27th and on her birthday, she applied to the Los Angeles County Superior Court to remove the surname “Pitt” and retain only her mother’s surname “Jolie.” In a classified advertisement published in the Los Angeles Times on July 8th, Shiloh’s full name at the time was Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, and she wanted to change it to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie.

The report mentioned that when Shiloh hired a lawyer and paid for the process herself, she emphasized that this was “an independent and significant decision made after experiencing a painful event.” The court approved the request in August of the same year. At the time, Brad Pitt did not publicly respond.

However, according to sources, Brad Pitt had “a premonition” but was still heartbroken when he learned that his daughter had indeed made this decision: “He thought his relationship with Shiloh was solid, and this decision caught him off guard, especially since she did not inform him beforehand.”

It is known that Brad Pitt had always looked forward to having a daughter, so he cherished Shiloh. However, now even her surname has been removed, causing him significant emotional distress.

In fact, Shiloh is not the only child who has given up the father’s surname. Her sister Zahara, who is now 20 years old, also clearly stated her name as “Zahara Marley Jolie” during a club initiation ceremony at Spelman College last year, without mentioning Pitt. Additionally, in the production credits of the Broadway musical “The Outsiders,” their 15-year-old daughter Vivienne, although not yet old enough to submit the removal of her father’s surname to the court, has been publicly listed as “Vivienne Jolie” to assist Jolie’s work.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sparked a romance while filming “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” in 2005, got married in August 2014, but their marriage soon showed cracks. In 2016, Jolie accused Pitt of being abusive towards her and their children on a private plane and filed for divorce. Although investigations did not lead to prosecution against Pitt, they were still granted a divorce. In 2022, Pitt sued his ex-wife over vineyard operation rights.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were once one of Hollywood’s most enviable couples, adopting three children together and having three biological children, including a set of twins. Shiloh, born on May 27, 2006, in Namibia, caused a sensation in Hollywood at her birth.

Shiloh is the third oldest among the six children and the oldest biological child of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. After a long court battle, Jolie was granted primary custody of the underage children, while Pitt was given visitation rights as required.
