Billionaire’s 16-Year-Old Daughter Missing in the Bay Area, Believed to be in Downtown San Francisco.

Recently, the underage daughter of a former CEO of a tech company in the Bay Area went missing after running away from her home in Marin County, possibly ending up in the Tenderloin community in San Francisco.

According to Deputy Jose Suarez, spokesperson for the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, 16-year-old Mint Butterfield was last seen at 10 p.m. last Sunday in Bolinas. Mint was reported missing on Monday morning at 8:30.

Suarez described Mint as around 5 feet tall, weighing approximately 100 pounds, with brown-red curly hair and eyebrow piercings. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie, flannel pajama pants, black boots, and possibly carrying a gray suitcase.

Family members and authorities believe that Mint may have headed towards the San Francisco area after leaving home. Marin County is connected to San Francisco via the Golden Gate Bridge.

San Francisco Supervisor Matt Dorsey wrote on X: “This is a missing child, and we now believe she is in the vicinity of Tenderloin in San Francisco.”

Reports indicate that Mint’s father is Stewart Butterfield, co-founder and former CEO of Slack.

Yahoo News reported that Butterfield and his ex-wife co-founded the photo-sharing website Flickr, which they later sold to Yahoo in 2005 for $25 million.

According to his LinkedIn profile, in 2009, Butterfield co-founded the workplace instant messaging software Slack with others.

Forbes magazine reported that in July 2021, cloud software giant Salesforce acquired Slack for $27.7 billion in cash and stock. In December 2022, amid a wave of executive departures, Butterfield left Salesforce.
