At least 5 dead, 1 missing in heavy rain in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia.

On the afternoon of August 18th until the early hours of August 19th, the city of Ordos in Inner Mongolia was hit by heavy rain, resulting in the deaths of 3 people in the Dongsheng District and 3 people going missing in Dalad Banner. As of August 21st, the death toll has risen to 5 people, with 1 person being rescued. Additionally, a woman in Ejin Horo Banner is still being searched for.

According to a report from the state-run Xinhua News Agency, on the 21st, the relevant departments in Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, were informed that the 3 missing individuals in Dalad Banner have all been located, with 2 confirmed dead and 1 rescued. This brings the total death toll to 5 people. Furthermore, the rescued individual is in stable condition and has been transferred to the central hospital in Ordos City for observation and treatment.

In addition, as reported by Modern Express on the 21st, heavy rain occurred in Ejin Horo Banner of the city on the night of August 18th, causing the water level of the Ulan Murun River to continue rising, flooding multiple roads. In the early hours of the 19th, a middle-aged woman driving a car near the Ulan Murun River in Ejin Horo Banner went missing. It is understood that the woman was driving an SUV, and the exact time of her disappearance was 5:54.

On August 21st, an official from the Transportation Department in Ejin Horo Banner stated that the missing woman is still being searched for.
