Asian-Pacific Democratic Party Members Held Primaries to Support Congressman Goodman for Reelection

The Democratic Party’s primary election is approaching on June 25th, and the Democratic Party leader of the 65th Assembly District, Yu Jinshan, held the “Asian Pacific Democratic Members Primary Assembly” at the service office in Manhattan Chinatown to rally support for Daniel Goldman, New York State Democratic Congressman.

The Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and the Chairman of the Confucius Building, Mei Luosheng, as well as the Director of the Democratic Party’s 65th District Leader’s Office, Ye Jianfei, attended the event to express their support.

Yu Jinshan mentioned that Congressman Goldman, who represents the 10th District in New York covering Manhattan Chinatown and Brooklyn 8th Avenue, has been actively involved in the development of the Chinese community and has made significant contributions over the past two years. This year, he hopes Goldman can be re-elected to continue advocating for more benefits for Chinatown, such as addressing issues related to education and homelessness.

He urged Chinese Democratic Party members to actively vote to support Goldman’s re-election. The Democratic Party primary is scheduled for June 25th, but those who are unable to vote on that day can start early voting from June 15th.

During his interaction with the voters at the event, Goldman expressed his commitment to continue advocating for more rights for the Chinese community in the future. This includes combating hate crimes, improving community safety, helping enhance the quality of life in the community, assisting in the post-pandemic reconstruction of small businesses, and advocating for more education and social security benefits, as well as constructing affordable housing for the economy.
