The “American BBQ Championship and BBQ Festival,” co-hosted by Great Events USA and New Century, will be held at the New Century venue in the Hudson River Valley region of Orange County, New York on August 2nd to 3rd. This event is the only professional barbecue competition and food festival in New York State certified by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS).
This year’s competition has attracted 50 professional barbecue teams from across the United States, including 8 teams that have previously won world champion titles. Over 100 KCBS-certified professional judges will be on-site to ensure the fairness and professionalism of the competition.
As one of America’s popular culinary cultures, barbecue events not only have a competitive aspect but also serve as a festive gathering for families and communities. It is worth mentioning that in order to allow more people to participate, this year’s event is free of charge, with only a $15 parking fee per car. The organizers also encourage carpooling to reduce traffic pressure.
