The “Golden Melody Band” Alien held their 20th-anniversary concert “Alpha: Back to the Future” for the second time at the Taipei Arena yesterday (27) and it ended successfully. After the concert, members Xiao Yu, Aquarius, and Fang Q celebrated with champagne. Aquarius said, “The addition of guest performers Kary Ng, Mr. Moose, and the Baihe Gang from Jianzhong School made this concert even more exciting!”
During the mass sing-along that day, Alien revealed that they had invited “Boss Chen” Mayday’s Ashin as a special guest 4 years ago, and this time they invited “Teacher Chen” Kary Ng. Kary Ng then appeared on the lift platform, further elevating the atmosphere, and together they sang Kary Ng’s classic song “Guitarist”, their eye contact crossing paths, unable to hide Alien’s smiles.
At the celebration banquet, Xiao Yu had a happy expression on his face, still immersed in the romantic couch date with Kary Ng just now, shyly saying, “When we were singing on stage, we would look at each other, Teacher Kary’s eyes really had a spark.”
Regarding the invitation of singer Kary Ng as a guest, Xiao Yu jokingly said that he thanked the members for agreeing to his whimsical request and revealed that he was “electrified” by Kary Ng, in fact, he even forgot the lyrics and missed a section.
Not only did they invite Kary Ng, but for Alien’s 20th anniversary, they also invited fellow brother group Mr. Moose to be guests and performed the hit song “If We Are Still Together” that has been viewed millions of times.
In addition, the high school friends of Alien from the “Baihe Gang”, who formed the band together, came to the Taipei Arena to celebrate Alien’s anniversary, and Alien also invited them to fulfill their dream of performing together, reminiscing about the dreamy look of Alien in those years.
Not only that, guitarist Aquarius not only invited his wife, an illustrator, to draw, but their son also made an appearance together.
This concert of Alien also featured a “Back to the Future” time house outside the venue, looking back on 20 years of memorable moments.
Next, they will take their “Alpha: Back to the Future” 20th-anniversary concert to various cities, holding performances in Tokyo Shibuya WWWX on June 15 and 16 for two consecutive days; they will head to Hong Kong for a concert in July.
