Alan Tam to Continue Performing as Scheduled This Week, Cancelled Shows to Be Rescheduled by March Next Year.

Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung, who has been absent for 6 years, recently kicked off a nine-show “60+” world tour concert at Taipei Arena. However, he had to cancel three shows scheduled from the 7th to the 9th due to RSV infection. The remaining three shows for this week will proceed as planned, with the canceled shows to be rescheduled before March next year.

On the 7th, Jacky Cheung disclosed on his Universal Music Facebook fan page that he had confirmed RSV infection, expressing his hope for a miracle to be able to attend rehearsals and perform as scheduled. Unfortunately, the miracle did not happen, as his throat remained sore and he couldn’t sing properly, leading to the cancellation of the concerts. He apologized to ticket holders and the organizers for the inconvenience.

The organizers made an announcement through their official channels, confirming the cancellation of the shows on the 7th, 8th, and 9th, causing a stir among fans. Many fans are also concerned about Jacky Cheung’s condition and whether he will be able to perform the three shows scheduled for June 14th to 16th.

In response, the organizers stated today that they have not received any notification to stop this week’s performances and everything is currently proceeding as planned.

Following last week’s cancellation of three concerts due to illness, the organizers had already proposed compensation plans. Ticket holders who choose not to refund their tickets can exchange them for equivalent tickets to next year’s concert in Taipei, while those who requested refunds for the June 7th show will receive additional compensation.

According to reports by the Central News Agency, each of the three canceled concerts last week, with a full capacity of about 11,000 tickets sold out. Currently, only 78 ticket holders have applied for refunds through the organizers’ customer service system and hotline.

Regarding the canceled shows, the organizers announced that Jacky Cheung’s “60+ World Tour Concert” will have an encore performance at Taipei Arena in March next year, where the three previously canceled shows will be rescheduled before proceeding with the encore.
