Mayor of Keelung, Xie Guoliang, and Deputy Mayor of New Taipei City, Chen Chunjing, accompanied Prime Minister Chen Jianren on a visit to Wanli today to inspect the feasibility assessment of the extension of National Freeway 62 from Qidu to Wanli Jingshan. Chen Jianren stated that providing the public with safe, comfortable, and convenient transportation is a governing objective, and the Ministry of Transportation is promoting this project to improve the congested bottleneck section of National Freeway 2 and enhance efficiency in disaster relief and medical treatment.
