On April 8, 2024, Keelung Mayor Xie Guoliang and New Taipei City Deputy Mayor Chen Chunjing accompanied Premier Chen Jianren to inspect the feasibility assessment of the extension of the Wanda-to-Jinshan section of Taiwan Provincial Highway 62 in Wanli. Premier Chen pointed out that providing the public with safe, comfortable, and convenient transportation is a key government objective, and the Ministry of Transportation is promoting this project to alleviate congestion on the bottleneck section of Taiwan Provincial Highway 2 and improve disaster relief and medical efficiency.
