Aaron Chen live streaming juicing with flies flying everywhere, worrying hygiene conditions.

After living in mainland China for many years, actor Moses Chan returned to Hong Kong on the 11th to promote a juicer through a live stream on social media. However, the shooting location was a remote area surrounded by garbage, with flies buzzing around the fruits, raising concerns about the poor hygiene.

In the video, Moses Chan was dressed in a brown and green short-sleeved shirt with checked jeans, looking much younger than his age of over 50. However, the environment around him was chaotic, with a messy table full of fruits and miscellaneous items in front of him, and behind him were trees, muddy ground, and a pile of trash. As he placed different fruits into the juicer, flies kept hovering around them, making it hard to watch.

54-year-old Moses Chan moved to mainland China in 2008 after starring in the Hong Kong drama “Ghost Catcher,” while his wife Aimee Chan and their four children continued to live in Hong Kong. He frequently traveled between mainland China and Hong Kong. However, three years ago during the pandemic outbreak, Moses Chan decided to relocate his family of six to Shanghai to facilitate his work.

During the pandemic, Aimee Chan complained on social media about the restricted lifestyle and expressed shock at the high prices of vegetables she had bought. In April 2022, she posted a receipt on Weibo showing she spent 1,500 yuan on 3 tomatoes, 2 carrots, 15 eggs, less than a pound of cabbage, and a bag of rice, as well as 500 yuan for a “delivery fee.” Feeling ripped off, she vented her frustrations online and sought help from netizens.

According to reports from “Hong Kong 01,” the Chan family has lived in both Shanghai and Changsha due to the frequent school transfers of their four children. They recently moved back to Hong Kong earlier this year. Moses Chan mentioned that they returned to Hong Kong to help their children improve their Cantonese language skills and for the convenience of potential TVB drama opportunities in the future.

After returning to Hong Kong, Moses Chan expressed his willingness to return to TVB for acting opportunities. He actively reached out to TVB and hinted at his eagerness to work with them again. Recently, he made appearances promoting the TVB drama “Legal Maverick,” starring in only two episodes but showing dedication in promoting the series. It is speculated that through promoting the drama, he is also promoting his return to Hong Kong and expressing his interest in long-term filming opportunities.

TVB, which now caters to mainland Chinese audience preferences, was rumored to collaborate with the e-commerce platform Taobao, organizing celebrity-led live shopping streams. Many netizens lamented the decline of TVB’s former glory and the struggles faced by many Hong Kong celebrities. It is noteworthy that upon their return to Hong Kong, the Chan family gave up their luxurious rented mansion costing 140,000 HKD per month and now live in a house purchased by Moses Chan.
