On September 11th, a robbery of a police car incident occurred on a viaduct in Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. The man who stole the police car hit several people while fleeing, with witnesses reporting that at least three people were hit.
A viral video circulating online shows a man sitting on the viaduct swiftly getting into a police car parked in front of him and sitting in the driver’s seat. Subsequently, two people in police uniforms ran towards the police car, but it was too late as the man drove away.
An eyewitness on the scene told reporters that someone stole the police car and proceeded to hit people along the way. “That person seemed like he didn’t want to live, as if he was going to jump off the bridge, but then he stole the police car and drove away. I saw him hit three people at the intersection. I don’t know why he didn’t want to live, but the driver didn’t look very old.”
Another eyewitness also mentioned, “This person seemed like he was going to jump off the bridge, but then turned around and got into the police car, driving off and hitting people along the way.”
