A large number of visitors to Beijing were sent to Jiujing Villa before the Beidaihe Conference.

Every summer, the Chinese Communist Party traditionally holds the Beidaihe Conference. During this sensitive period, the National Bureau of Letters and Calls of the CCP began a thorough investigation of the Sanban Hutong from 3 p.m. on July 20th (Sunday), which will continue for a week. On the first day of implementation, four cars of petitioners were taken away.

On July 18th, the National Bureau of Letters and Calls of the CCP held a meeting of provincial duty chiefs in Jiujing Zhuang, scheduling a week-long thorough investigation of the Sanban Hutong starting from 3 p.m. on July 20th. The individuals being investigated were all sent to Jiujing Zhuang, and the Beijing Office stationed there will arrange for their departure within 24 hours to ensure they are “sent out, received back, held steadily, and not to return to flow back.” Updates on the detained individuals will be reported according to the situation.

According to information from petitioners, starting from the 21st, tables were set up on both sides of the entrance to Beijing Railway Station to check passengers’ identification.

At the National Bureau of Letters and Calls of the CCP, there were already thousands of petitioners queuing up for registration on July 20th. Mr. Wang, a petitioner, mentioned that by around 5 p.m., four cars of people had already been taken to Jiujing Zhuang.

A petitioner from Heilongjiang living in Beidaihe, Ma Bo, told Epoch Times, “From July 1st to August 30th every year, Beidaihe is under control. Police cars from various places have all arrived; in my area of jurisdiction, there are also 4 special police cars and police cars from Beijing parked.”

Ma Bo continued, “I went to Beidaihe Pingshui Bridge Bathing Beach on July 18th. Every passerby was stopped and checked for ID cards. The Beijing police first called the Majiabao Police Station in Fengtai District to confirm my exact place of residence, then the police from Fangshan District confirmed my residence. The Beijing police kept tracking my location, knowing I was in Beidaihe, but for some reason kept calling and harassing me!”

On July 21st, petitioner Wang Zhifen from Chongqing was intercepted by unknown individuals at Beijing West Railway Station as she was about to leave. These unknown individuals intercepted her at Changshengqiao Station on Light Rail Line 6 and prevented her from boarding, aiming to take her to Chaoyuan Police Station. The current situation is unclear.

Petitioner Yan Shaohua from Hunan, who suffered a stroke, is currently receiving treatment at Beijing Boai Hospital. On July 19th, she and her family went to Jingshan Park for a visit. In the afternoon, as they were preparing to take a bus back to Jiaomen North near Beihai Park, they were suddenly stopped and asked for their IDs by police from Beihai Police Station. The whole family cooperated and showed their IDs, without any illegal behavior, but they were forcefully taken away by the police, restricting their freedom without explanation or any legal procedures shown.

Yan Shaohua urgently sent out a distress call online, “I am nearly sixty years old, suffering from a severe stroke and limited mobility. Suddenly detained, I am extremely anxious, and the situation is very dangerous. We are now under control, unable to escape. Please help spread information, contact relevant departments, and help us!”

Qiu Xiaowei from Nantong City, Jiangsu Province, registered at the National Bureau of Letters and Calls on July 18th but lost contact at 1:42 p.m., informing his wife before going missing that he was being held in a dark room. He is currently missing.

On the same day, disabled petitioners Liu Shaorong from Enshi City, Hubei Province, and Yu Qiue from Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, were sent to the National Disabled Federation by police from Jianguo Gate Police Station in Beijing for registration, then taken to Jianguo Gate Police Station to wait for the stability maintenance personnel from Jiangxi to pick them up. Around 5:20 p.m. that day, Yu Qiue was forcefully taken away by a dozen or so strong individuals, while Liu Shaorong was injured by a group of people from Jiangxi, and his petition materials and court documents were taken away. Currently, Yu Qiue’s whereabouts are unknown.

Zhong Chongqin from Laixi City, Shandong Province, has been striving for his legitimate employment rights for 28 years to no avail. On the morning of July 16th, in broad daylight, he was forcibly dragged onto a bus by several unidentified individuals at Yangqiao East Bus Station in Fengtai District, Beijing, and currently remains missing.

On the same day, Gong Baoju from Baqiao District, Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, was intercepted at Beijing West Railway Station and Beijing West Railway Station police and officers from Beijing Daxing Sub-Bureau participated in the interception.

Around 9 p.m. on July 16th, Zhu Zhiliang from Loudi City, Hunan Province, with his son Su Biao, was violently abducted and went missing near the Capital Oasis in Jiaomen Dong, Fengtai District, Beijing.

On July 14th, Xu Tingfeng, Tian Shilan, Cao Xingzhen, Yang Bing from Chongqing were all taken to Jiujing Zhuang; Li Zhongying, Li Zhaohui were taken by Hu Yu, Dai Jinlong from Bashi Town, Dadu District, Chongqing to the National Bureau of Letters and Calls in Beijing.
