On June 3rd, a road collapse occurred in Guyi Town, Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi, causing several cars to roll down. The news quickly became a hot topic in China on June 4th.
Videos circulating on various Chinese media platforms showed a collapsed section of the road, with the roadbed sliding off, leaving only the asphalt pavement hanging in the air, while several cars were parked on the surface. As time passed, the asphalt pavement also began to break apart, causing the parked cars to gradually roll off.
According to reports from multiple Chinese news outlets, the incident took place in Guyi Town, Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province.
On the afternoon of the 3rd, a staff member of the Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County government informed Jimo News that there were no casualties in the incident, stating that a formal report would be issued later. Currently, the site has been cordoned off, the cause of the collapse is still under investigation, and arrangements have been made to evacuate some nearby residents. However, it is not true, as some residents claimed, that “the nearby buildings are no longer inhabitable.”
Furthermore, nearby residents confirmed that the fallen vehicles had already been lifted up.
