Seoul Comedy “Laughing Squad” – Kim Dong-yuk and Park Ji-hwan Join Forces to Solve Cases

“Seoul Comedy Detectives” Unveiled: Actors Kim Dong-uk and Park Ji-hwan Join Hands in the Latest Crime Comedy on Disney+

In a hilarious collaboration, actors Kim Dong-uk from “Walking with God” and Park Ji-hwan from “City of Crime” team up in the upcoming crime comedy series “Seoul Comedy Detectives” on Disney+, where they will be solving cases together. This also marks Kim Dong-uk’s first performance after marriage.

The duo portrays police officers in the Songwon Serious Crime Unit, a notorious underperforming team in the police force, who are about to turn the tables and make a name for themselves.

Directed by Ahn Jong-ran and Shin Joong-hyun, with Lee Young-cheol and Lee Kwang-jae as the scriptwriters, the cast includes Kim Dong-uk as the team leader Dongbang Yu-bin, Park Ji-hwan as Mu Jung-law, a former boxing champion turned detective in the serious crimes unit, Yoo Hyun-woo as the stingy officer Jung Jung-hwan, Park Se-woon as the naive and cheerful officer So Min-rui, and Lee Seung-yoo as the scruffy officer Jang Tan-jik.

The story follows a group of underperforming officers known as the Songwon Serious Crime Unit, who always lag behind in the annual performance rankings. In an attempt to discipline this group of maverick officers, the top brass of the police department decides to send in the rising star of the police world, Dongbang Yu-bin (played by Kim Dong-uk), to take charge as the team leader and restore order.

This young leader, who consistently delivers top-notch results in every task, must find a way to complete the challenging missions entrusted to him by his superiors, all while experiencing a hilarious process of solving cases.

The new police comedy “Seoul Comedy Detectives” announced today that it will exclusively premiere on Disney+ in September.
