After Five Years Apart, Natural History Museum to Restart “Wonderful Night” in October

The American Museum of Natural History has announced that its popular overnight event “A Night at the Museum” will officially return on October 24th. This event, beloved by families since its debut in 2006, was put on hold for five years due to the pandemic but is now making a comeback.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the museum after hours, using flashlights to wander through the dinosaur fossil halls, or freely visit the halls of mammals, insects, and the gem and mineral exhibits. Additionally, kids will be treated to karaoke, group games, bedtime stories, with the most anticipated experience being the chance to sleep under the massive blue whale model inside the museum for a memorable night.

“A Night at the Museum” is primarily open to children and families, with an age limit of 6 to 12 years old. Children under 8 must be accompanied by a parent, and groups of children aged 8 to 12 with more than five members must also be accompanied by an adult. Adults are not allowed to participate without a child.

Tickets are priced at $225 per person, which includes the overnight experience, late-night snack, breakfast, a souvenir gift, as well as a ticket for a return visit to the museum in the future. Members can purchase tickets in advance starting on September 30th, while the general public can book tickets from October 7th. Ticketing website: https://tinyurl.com/m2unuxse

The event first launched in 2006, coinciding with the release of the Hollywood movie “Night at the Museum,” quickly becoming a popular choice for New York families. With fewer visitors at night, the exhibits present a completely different atmosphere from during the day, providing a unique and unforgettable experience for both children and parents.

The museum has mentioned that after the event opens in October, more sessions will be held in November, December, and the first half of 2026. Due to limited ticket availability, the organizers urge interested families to purchase tickets early to avoid missing out.
