Trump says Biden administration should apologize to him for the hush money case.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Friday evening that the White House’s “inner halls” should apologize to him for the hush money case and the case should be dismissed.

Trump wrote on his “Truth Social” website that “almost everyone agrees that the ‘witch hunt’ launched against me by Alvin Bragg is a sham trial instigated directly by the White House and the Department of Justice core circle.”

He claimed that the purpose of this case is to attack Biden’s political opponents. “It should be immediately withdrawn, and an apology should be made to me and all those who have had to endure this election interfering hoax,” he wrote.

Trump wrapped up a week of trial in New York on Friday.

Trump is accused of fabricating business records to cover up hush money payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, to keep her silent about alleged extramarital affairs before the 2016 election. Trump has refused to plead guilty.

Currently, Trump is under a gag order in this case, meaning his statements regarding the “sham trial” have been restricted.

The gag order limits Trump from speaking about court proceedings and court-related individuals, including star witness Michael Cohen, who testified this week.

This week, the former president gained support from several Republican lawmakers, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, who hurried from Washington DC to the New York court to criticize the case. They allege that this case is an example of election interference, with the aim of diverting Trump’s attention from the campaign and away from President Biden’s view.
