According to a notice issued by the Heilongjiang Provincial Government on August 29, 2023, Yu Hong retired on July 28, 2023, and no longer holds the position of Chairman of Heilongjiang Province Financial Holdings Group Co., Ltd. As of the investigation, Yu Hong has been retired for two years.

According to the report, in August 2017, Yu Hong accepted 2 boxes of 24 bottles of Feitian Moutai liquor from the actual controller of a certain company, worth more than 35,000 yuan; before the New Year of 2018, he accepted 8 boxes of 96 bottles of Civil Aviation Special Supply Moutai liquor from the actual controller of the company, worth more than 86,000 yuan.
In addition, from 2014 to June 2019, Yu Hong also went fishing at the fishing grounds operated by the actual controller of the company and accepted banquets multiple times. In November 2020, Yu Hong received a serious warning from the party and his illegal gains were confiscated.
