NewJeans remains popular unaffected by disputes, tickets for the Giant Egg event are sold out.

Popular Korean girl group NewJeans faced a dispute last month between their management company ADOR and its parent company HYBE. Despite the internal conflicts within the company, all tickets for the fan meeting scheduled to be held at the Tokyo Dome in June have been sold out.

On the 14th, management company ADOR announced that all tickets for NewJeans’ first fan meeting in Japan, “Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome,” on June 26th and 27th, have been completely sold out.

NewJeans, who debuted in Korea with the mini album “New Jeans” on August 1, 2022, will be holding a special performance at the Tokyo Dome less than two years after their debut, setting a record for the shortest time for an overseas artist to perform on that stage after debut. It is quite rare for a group to sell out tickets at the Tokyo Dome before officially debuting in Japan.

During their participation in the famous Japanese music event “SUMMER SONIC” last August, NewJeans set the record for the shortest time for audience entry restrictions in the history of the event. Despite not having officially debuted in Japan, they were invited to perform at prestigious events such as the 74th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen and the TBS Japan Record Awards at the end of last year due to their high popularity.

As the dispute between ADOR and HYBE surfaced in April, ADOR’s head, Min Hee-jin, mentioned that during NewJeans’ preparation for their new work and the fan meeting in Japan, their computers were confiscated by HYBE, affecting the related preparations. It was also reported yesterday that HYBE was considering giving them an extended break, causing fans to worry about their future activities. Despite this, NewJeans released a new song titled “Bubble Gum” on the 27th of last month, and they will be releasing a double single “How Sweet” on the 24th of this month. In June, they will also release their debut single “Supernatural” in Japan.
