Justin Bieber Announces He’s Going to Be a Dad: His Mom’s Response Sparks Misunderstanding

Recently, Canadian singer Justin Bieber and his wife announced the happy news of expecting a baby on social media, receiving blessings from fans. Justin Bieber’s mother’s congratulatory comment to his father-in-law, Stephen Baldwin, saying “Congratulations Grandpa! We’re going to have cute little grandchildren,” caused confusion among fans.

On May 9th, the 30-year-old Justin Bieber and his 27-year-old American model wife, Hailey Bieber, announced on Instagram that they are expecting their first child. Justin Bieber’s mother, Canadian author and film producer Pattie Mallette, congratulated her son-in-law’s father, Stephen Baldwin, in a comment, causing confusion among fans.

Fans began to wonder if it wasn’t just one child they were expecting, “Grandchildren? Mom, what do you mean by plural??” “Wait, babies??? Twins?” “Wait, there are two? Ma’am, I can’t handle it.”

Mallette replied to fans explaining, “No, not twins, haha, but hopefully. What I mean is I hope they have more than one child. I hope they have several beautiful babies. One is enough for now (crying and laughing emoji).”

The Bieber couple shared their announcement on Instagram, including photos and videos of their vow exchange ceremony held in Hawaii. The video shows Justin Bieber kissing and embracing Hailey, while Hailey shared a photo of herself pregnant.

On May 10th, Mallette expressed her joy on Instagram, “Justin Bieber’s baby is coming!! I’m going to be a grandmother! Congratulations to Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber! My heart is filled with joy, what an exciting new life experience, I love you both so much!”

Hailey’s agent confirmed to People magazine that Hailey is already six months pregnant. Justin Bieber and Hailey got married in September 2018, and just before their sixth wedding anniversary this year, they once again outlined their future together through a vow exchange ceremony.
