Shanghai Police Maintain Stability in the Middle of the Night, 95-Year-Old Liu Shuzhen Scared

Shanghai’s 95-year-old displaced resident, Liu Shuzhen, who lost her home due to the World Expo relocation, was suddenly visited by a group of police officers at nearly 10 p.m. on April 24th at the hotel where she temporarily resides. The elderly lady was shocked and asked what was the matter. The police officers, upon seeing Liu Shuzhen in person, did not respond but instructed three security guards to watch over her outside the door.

Liu Shuzhen, at the age of 95, has been living long-term in Room 223 of the Qingchun Hotel at No. 1698 Nan Matou Road, without receiving any compensation for the World Expo relocation.

On the night of April 24th at 21:46, police officers from the Zhou Jiadu Street Police Station in Pudong New District of Shanghai, led by badge number 011163, along with five community security personnel, knocked on Liu Shuzhen’s door. Upon opening the door and finding police officers, Liu Shuzhen inquired, “Is there something the matter for the police to visit so late?” The police replied, “It’s fine for you to be at home,” and ordered three security guards to watch over Liu Shuzhen. Still unaware of what was happening, Liu Shuzhen found herself under surveillance for stability maintenance.

Liu Shuzhen’s daughter, Cui Fufang, urgently released the information, stating, “Liu Shuzhen’s private property was forcibly relocated by the Pudong New District government of Shanghai in 2005 and it has been twenty-one years since, with no compensation or resettlement provided. Why won’t they spare a 95-year-old disabled elderly woman?”

The police officers from the Zhou Jiadu Street Police Station in Pudong New District informed Cui Fufang that someone would come looking for her tomorrow.

At 8 a.m. on April 25th, police officers from the Jinyang Village Police Station in the Jinyang New Village Street in Pudong New District, Shanghai, identified themselves as badge number 013756 when calling Cui Fufang, asking her, “Do you know someone named Xie Jinhua who will take you to Beijing?”

Cui Fufang emphasized the need for the government to return their private property, claiming that there was no money for compensation but plenty of resources for stability maintenance. She remarked, “Our family has spent over fifty million yuan on stability maintenance so far, yet they refuse to return Liu Shuzhen’s private property.”

Song Jiahong, the person behind the Shanghai Black Jail List, told a reporter from The Epoch Times, “It’s unclear what specific meeting will take place in Beijing, but the Shanghai government is on high alert. The presence of police officers at Liu’s elderly lady’s home indicates that Beijing is likely to hold another important meeting.”

“There is false information circulating online, claiming that 193 countries are gathering in Beijing to counter Trump’s tariffs. This is impossible because China’s leaders cannot lead the world, and they even fail to address the demands of petitioners. The police action is driven by the district chief’s ‘zero visitation’ dream, causing dream scenarios for petitioners. If Liu’s elderly lady does not go to Beijing, there will be Zhang’s elderly lady, Zhou’s elderly lady…”

He sarcastically added, “They won’t even spare a 95-year-old elderly person this late? They go as far as to conduct stability maintenance tasks regardless of day or night, which although shows good spirits, their methods are reactionary.”

Song Jiahong further commented, “Liu’s elderly lady is at an advanced age, yet in excellent health with a sharp mind. She has been designated as a key target for stability maintenance by the Shanghai Public Security Bureau, which can only be described as a tragedy for elderly people in China!”

“Police knocking on the door of Liu Shuzhen’s elderly lady is, in fact, hitting their own ‘rice bowl.’ If the country operates normally, petitions should be the priority over stability maintenance. If this order is reversed, the country loses its function and is essentially in name only,” he concluded.
