San Francisco Bay Area Community Events (May 2 to May 17, 2024)

The United States Matsu Temple in San Francisco warmly welcomed the Matsu deity from the Beigang Chaotian Temple in Taiwan, including the Chairman and members of the board of directors, who visited the U.S. for a cultural and artistic festival in mid-May. During this period, the Beigang Matsu deity will make appearances at the San Francisco Matsu Temple from May 14th to 17th, where worshippers can pay their respects, followed by visits to Houston from May 18th to 20th, and New York City from May 21st to 26th for processions and tours.

Established in 1986, the U.S. Matsu Temple was brought to San Francisco by the Chaotian Temple in Beigang, Taiwan, as a branch temple. It was officially approved by the California government and named the U.S. Matsu Temple in honor of the spiritual connection with the Beigang Chaotian Temple.

Welcome to all worshippers to visit the Matsu Temple and participate in this special event!
