Former US President’s Advisor: Supports Chinese People Quitting Party

On November 26, 2024, John Lenczowski, former Chief Soviet Affairs Advisor to President Reagan, attended a seminar marking the 20th anniversary of The Epoch Times’ editorial series “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party” at the United States Capitol to show support for the 440 million Chinese people who have renounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Youth League, and Young Pioneers organizations.

Lenczowski emphasized the importance of supporting Chinese people quitting the party and spreading truthful information to the Chinese population. He praised the seminar for expressing solidarity with the suffering people under communist tyranny.

Under communist rule, the party employs psychological strategies to make people accept their fate as subjects of the party’s tyranny, feeling powerless to change their circumstances. The regime aims to instill fear, distrust, and a sense of helplessness among the populace to prevent any organized resistance.

One of the ways the Party achieves this is by controlling semantics, speech, and thoughts to ultimately monopolize behavior. By monopolizing information and communication channels while indoctrinating with ideology, the Party exerts comprehensive control over society. The core of the CCP’s rule lies in information control, and Lenczowski suggested that the U.S. should take action against this control.

Lenczowski identified information control as the CCP’s key to maintaining power and recommended supporting the movement of Chinese people renouncing the party. In a form of “cold war” with China, he highlighted the significance of targeting the opponent’s key vulnerabilities.

He emphasized the importance of real-time information dissemination, citing historical examples where immediate communication was crucial in organizing resistance against oppressive regimes. By facilitating better communication among the Chinese population, especially by breaking through the CCP’s censorship mechanisms, it could ignite a tidal wave against the party’s tyranny.

He referenced the power of outlets like “Voice of America” and “Radio Free Europe” during the Cold War, emphasizing the impact of providing truth, alternative ideologies, and reinstating lost faith such as religious beliefs in oppressed societies. By ensuring the instant spread of information, dissenters can effectively communicate with fellow citizens, potentially leading to a transformative movement against the totalitarian regime in China.
