Two encores at the first North American concert, Wu Bai sings until he can’t anymore, shouting in distress: no more songs!

Last week, 五百 (Wu Bai) & China Blue kicked off their “ROCK STAR” 2024 North American concert tour, starting in Las Vegas. After the performance, fans refused to leave and kept chanting “encore”. 五百 jokingly said, “There are no more songs!” In the end, he ended up singing for three hours straight, with two encores, creating an unprecedented passionate atmosphere.

It’s rare for 五百 to perform in the gambling city, and he mentioned that singing in the desert felt unique. It had been 24 years since his last performance in Las Vegas, and both he and the audience felt a sense of freshness during that night’s show.

Checking the age range of the audience, 五百 found many fans under 25, younger than his 32 years as a band. With a playful tone, he asked, “Did you come with your parents? Did you come to the wrong show?”

Opening the concert with the song “Sea Waves,” 五百 was moved by the enthusiastic response from the crowd after performing the second song, “Bridge of Tears.” He expressed his gratitude, saying, “To have such high energy from the start, it’s clearly a different concert. There are no special guests in my concerts, you are all my special guests!”

In addition to enjoying the music, the audience at 五百’ concert also had the opportunity to join in on a wave dance tutorial, creating a joyful and interactive atmosphere.

Before the encore section, the audience chanted “work overtime,” prompting 五百 to perform “First in the World.” After the fans called for more, jokingly 五百 replied, “There are no more songs!” He then continued with “Sudden Self” and “Beloved, Farewell,” but the fans still refused to leave and kept requesting more.

Changing into a T-shirt for the second encore, 五百 returned to the stage and performed “You Are My Flower,” encouraging the audience to dance along and playfully striking an ending pose.

Ending the concert with a shout of “Thank you, the concert is over, time to go home!” the fans kept chanting for more. Singing along with the music’s rhythm, 五百 humorously sang, “I want to go home, I’ve been working overtime for too long, for three hours, I still have jet lag, I have to catch an early flight tomorrow. Where did you learn to keep working overtime like this?”

Despite trying to resist the fans’ persistent calls for more, 五百 finally gave in and performed the last song, “Meeting Again.” This brought the concert to a close, leaving everyone satisfied.
