Family of deceased doctor reveals: Xiangya Second Hospital seeks child donors.

On May 8th of this year, Luo Shuaiyu, a medical intern at the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, mysteriously fell to his death from the building. Prior to his death, he had reported the hospital director and others for harvesting and trafficking human organs. His parents suspect foul play in his death. Epoch Times obtained some evidence collected by Luo Shuaiyu before his death, as well as recordings of his parents describing the situation. These materials indicate that the Second Xiangya Hospital was searching for child donors for transplantation and research.

The information is divided into five parts: Recording 1, the Second Xiangya Hospital requested Luo to find 12 child donors aged 3-9; Recording 2, Luo’s father’s explanation of Recording 1; Recording 3, recording of the donor extraction scene; text screenshots of someone close to Luo’s family narrating the events: Recording 4, Luo’s father relaying his son’s views on the Second Xiangya Hospital.

Someone close to Luo’s family provided the aforementioned information to Epoch Times.

Luo Shuaiyu, 28 years old, from Neijiang, Sichuan. Admiring the reputation of “Peking Union Medical College Hospital in the North, Second Xiangya Hospital in the South,” he gave up the opportunity to study for a master’s degree at a university in Guangdong and chose the Second Xiangya Hospital. The Deputy Director of the Urology Organ Transplant Department, Xie Xubiao, was his mentor. He was supposed to graduate in June this year, but met his demise on May 8th at the school dormitory.

His father posted a video on social media, calling him a “talented and kind-hearted” child.

His mother said that on May 3rd, he mentioned on the phone that he would graduate in a month and wanted to earn money to give his parents a “happy old age,” but on the 8th, the hospital called to say something had happened to him.

After Luo Shuaiyu’s death, his parents found broken glasses on the bed in the dormitory and signs of a scuffle in the room, leading them to suspect foul play. After being forced to sign an agreement with the hospital stating that Luo Shuaiyu died by suicide, Luo’s parents retrieved his phone and computer from the school, recovered the data, and found a large amount of materials reporting on the illegal acquisition and sale of human organs by Associate Director of the Trauma Emergency Medical Center at Second Xiangya Hospital, Liu Xiangfeng.

In a recording obtained on the 27th, a person from the Second Xiangya Hospital assigned a task to Luo Shuaiyu to find child donors, with specific requirements for ages, gender, and blood extraction methods.

The person claimed to be a “coordinator” and mentioned that the project was led by the hospital director and it involved a long-term plan. The coordinator instructed Luo to familiarize himself with the process of obtaining organs.

Luo Shuaiyu’s father explained that after Luo received the acceptance letter from the Second Xiangya Hospital, he was tasked with finding 6 sets of 3 boys and 3 girls aged 3 to 9 within three years for research on child organ transplants and as experimental data for a thesis.

According to the father, the hospital did not provide qualifications or legal knowledge to Luo for this task, and when Luo resisted, the situation escalated leading to his demise.

The official website of Central South University’s Second Xiangya Hospital shows that Luo Shuaiyu’s mentor, Xie Xubiao, is a medical doctor with a Ph.D., chief physician, professor, doctoral supervisor. He is currently the Director of the Kidney Transplant Department and Assistant Director of the Organ Transplant Center at Second Xiangya Hospital and a member of the Organ Procurement and Allocation Committee of the Chinese Hospital Association. He is also a member of several organ transplant-related societies.

On October 28th, a recording obtained by journalists documented Luo Shuaiyu being sent to a hospital in Shaoyang, Hunan, to extract organs. The conversation on the recording between the surgeons and organ extractors indicated a nonchalant attitude towards the procedure and organ donation.

Someone close to Luo’s family revealed unknown details about the circumstances leading up to Luo’s death, including Luo’s reports on illegal activities at the hospital and the involvement of the Associate Chief of the Trauma Emergency Medical Center, Liu Xiangfeng. Liu Xiangfeng was recently sentenced to 17 years in prison on multiple charges, including intentional injury, bribery, and embezzlement.

Luo Shuaiyu and his classmates had previously reported on Liu Xiangfeng’s misconduct. Recordings on Luo Shuaiyu’s phone revealed Liu Xiangfeng’s unauthorized procedures, including one where he removed a patient’s small intestine without consent for a “small intestine transplant.”

On October 31st, Luo’s father expressed dissatisfaction with Liu Xiangfeng’s 17-year sentence on social media, questioning his involvement in Luo Shuaiyu’s death and his connection to the illegal organ trade.
