A man in Kunshan, Jiangsu fell to his death, rumored to have been blown out of the window while closing it.

On Monday (16th), a man in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, fell to his death from a building. It was rumored online that the reason for his fall was due to the approaching typhoon, as he was “blown out of the window and fell to his death.”

September 16, netizens shared a video claiming that a man in Kunshan was blown out of a window by the typhoon while closing it, resulting in his unfortunate death. The video showed a man falling onto the roof of a parked car below, leaving a large dent in the roof. The accompanying text stated, “A man fell to his death after being blown out of the window by the typhoon.”

Multiple videos and images circulated online showing a row of cars parked along the road beneath the high-rise buildings in the residential area, with one silver car having a person lying on its hood and the front bumper noticeably damaged. Police tape surrounded the scene.

A whistleblower blogger and several netizens revealed that the incident occurred in the Palm Bay community in Kunshan.

According to the “New Yellow River News,” staff from the Yanxiang Community Neighborhood Committee in Huaqiao Economic Development Zone of Kunshan City stated that the Huaqiao Police Station is still investigating the specific cause of the incident.

Typhoon “Beibika,” the 13th typhoon of the year, made landfall in Pudong, Shanghai at 7:30 am on September 16, with the maximum wind force near the center reaching level 14, making it the strongest typhoon to land in Shanghai in recorded meteorological history.

According to an official update on the Suzhou Release Weibo account at 12:12 pm on September 16, the center of Typhoon “Beibika” had already entered Suzhou. The southern end of Dianshan Lake at the border of Qingpu District in Shanghai and Kunshan City in Suzhou experienced strong winds, with the lake water hitting the shore with waves over 1 meter high. It was forecasted that the entire city of Suzhou would be within a wind force of level 10 throughout the day on the 16th.
