Experts urge countries to closely investigate “Chinese Communist Party agents” following the Sun Wen case.

Recently, Linda Sun, former deputy chief of staff at the New York Governor’s office, was accused of being a “Chinese Communist Party agent,” leading to the abrupt “resignation” of Consul General Huang Ping at the Chinese Consulate in New York, shocking the world. Experts analyze that this is part of the Chinese Communist Party’s intelligence operation mode. While the CCP has infiltrated the political landscapes of the United States and other countries, with Taiwan being a testing ground for their infiltration strategy, the CCP’s motives and tactics are being exposed, calling for joint investigations by various countries.

On Tuesday, Linda Sun and her husband Chris Hu were both arrested by the FBI. The prosecution alleges that Linda Sun acted as a secret agent for the CCP, violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act, while her 40-year-old husband, a wine merchant, Chris Hu, faces charges of money laundering.

The 65-page indictment states that Linda Sun engaged in political activities aimed at influencing the public in accordance with the orders, instructions, or requests of the Chinese government and Communist Party representatives, including influencing the stance of the New York state government on matters concerning Beijing and CCP interests.

In recent times, the United States has arrested several “Chinese Communist Party agents.” On August 21, democracy activist Tang Yuanjun was accused of concealing his role as a foreign agent, conspiracy, and making false statements and was arrested. On August 6, Wang Shujun, the 76-year-old secretary-general of the Huazhao Memorial Foundation, was charged with four counts, including acting as a CCP agent, facing up to 25 years in prison. In mid-July, Chen Jun, Lin Feng admitted to the crime of acting as foreign agents and bribing U.S. officials, and so on.

Yu Zongji emphasized that the CCP’s infiltration into democratic countries is pervasive. Individuals like Tang Yuanjun or Wang Shujun sought refuge and settlement in the United States as anti-Communist and pro-democracy activists. However, it has now been revealed that they were actually operating as moles within various civil organizations.

“However, in the case of Linda Sun, it’s different. She directly entered the U.S. administrative system and rose to the position of deputy chief of staff to the Governor of New York.”

Former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted on Wednesday, warning all governors that the CCP is already inside the gates. The Linda Sun case is just the tip of the iceberg. “From the PTA meetings to local officials, to governors, the Chinese Communist Party has infiltrated our country,” he cautioned. “Every American – especially our elected officials – needs to take this serious threat seriously.”

Yu Zongji stated that all of this just validates that the CCP is facing tensions in U.S.-China relations, facing technological trade sanctions, and reverting to underground organizational tactics to circumvent formal sanction channels, infiltrate American society, and exert malignant influence.

Especially with the U.S. presidential election less than two months away, “I believe that the activities of these CCP moles lurking within American democratic society will become more active. In other words, as they become more active, we can expect a continuous stream of such discovered cases. This is what we can anticipate.”

As the United States continues to expose CCP spies, will other countries follow suit in eliminating this mysterious force from behind the scenes? Yu Zongji believes, “This is already happening. The CCP’s infiltration extends not only to the United States but also to any democratic country, such as the Philippines, Taiwan, and so on.”

However, the world is fighting back in unison. “From my personal observation, the U.S. is investigating and eliminating internal spies or operatives infiltrated by the CCP.”

In August of this year, the latest U.S. counterintelligence strategy identified China and Russia as the greatest intelligence threats to the United States – their breadth, quantity, complexity, and impact are “unprecedented.” This new counterintelligence strategy provides a roadmap for intelligence agencies to counter threats.

Leaders of U.S. and UK intelligence agencies jointly authored a warning on Saturday, stating that the world is facing unprecedented threats and viewing the CCP as a “major intelligence and geopolitical challenge of the 21st century.” Canada’s intelligence agencies previously reported that “the CCP is the primary foreign implementer of influence operations in Canada.”

Similarly, Europe is also taking action. Yu Zongji said, “I believe that they should be fully launching efforts to prevent the infiltration of Communist countries.” The CCP’s infiltration is multidimensional, and secret police organizations under CCP control have been discovered in many parts of Europe, and democratic countries are conducting comprehensive internal investigations.

Recently, the Philippines accused former Chinese-Filipino Mayor Alice Guo of involvement in illegal fraud, identity fraud, and spying for the CCP. She later fled to Indonesia, where she was arrested and deported back to the Philippines, returning on Thursday for questioning.

Yu Zongji said, “The Philippines is investigating the circumstances surrounding Alice Guo, the channels she infiltrated, and the roles and tasks assigned to her.”

The most important thing is to combine the anti-espionage mechanisms of democratic countries to collectively address the comprehensive infiltration by authoritarian countries led by the CCP.

However, the CCP’s infiltration of Taiwan is particularly severe. Just last month, the Taiwan High Court sentenced eight active and retired Taiwanese military officers suspected of leaking military secrets to the CCP to prison terms ranging from one and a half years to 13 years.

These days, Taiwan’s Investigation Bureau is also looking into how the CCP, through the guise of private companies, is continuously stealing Taiwan’s technological intelligence, as well as recruiting engineers in relevant fields in Taiwan and persuading them to assist in developing related technologies in China.

He mentioned that Taiwan now has tens of thousands of cross-strait spouses, but are they genuinely integrated into society? “Recently, there have been many discussions online regarding some well-known cross-strait spouses, with the general belief that since they have married into Taiwan and yet remain particularly enthusiastic about Chinese politics, to a certain extent, it also represents Taiwan’s significant challenge to CCP’s all-rounded infiltration.”

Yu Zongji said, “China conducts various business and cultural exchanges with Taiwan, so the pressure Taiwan faces from infiltration is undoubtedly greater than that of other countries, ranging from media to the military and political spheres. The CCP often treats Taiwan as a testing ground for new infiltration strategies.”

“I believe that national security agencies will learn from the recent string of espionage warnings and strengthen our internal investigations and clean-ups.”

If the U.S. continues this path, followed by other countries, how will this momentum impact the CCP regime?

Yu Zongji believes that this will undoubtedly deal a severe blow to the CCP regime and will once again expose the CCP’s infiltration and hidden motives toward democratic countries, aiming to steal more technology and economic intelligence. Ultimately, the true intention is to infiltrate democratic countries to create disruption, division, weaken their opponents, and eventually replace them.

“The response capabilities of the United States and democratic countries against the so-called non-military infiltration and threats from the CCP will be stronger.”

“This will create a new cold war confrontation,” Yu Zongji said, “Just like during the period of the Chinese Civil War, these communist forces, through the development of underground organizations, could eventually erode the ruling foundation of the Kuomintang and eventually take over.”

Not long ago, former White House advisor Bannon also warned that the CCP is replicating the experiences and models of the Chinese Civil War to deal with Western democratic countries, especially the United States. “Therefore, we can see that with these heightened alerts, the world’s new cold war confrontation will become even more intense.”

At present, Yu Zongji believes that democratic countries have the upper hand in terms of resources, technology, and various aspects over authoritarian countries. This new cold war confrontation will eventually lead to the dismantling of the entire CCP regime. If it does not change its political system in time, it will eventually accelerate the conflict and lead to its failure.
