First Time Hearing Dad Play Bach, Baby’s Reaction Melts Everyone’s Heart

A heartwarming video capturing a 2-month-old baby patiently listening to his musician father play a Bach masterpiece has quickly gone viral on the internet, capturing the hearts of many netizens.

Bernardo Klein di Paolo, adorned with a cute bow tie, had the privilege of attending his father’s personal piano concert. His father, the renowned musician Fabrício André Bernard di Paolo, decided to place his 2-month-old son on the piano as he prepared to record a video, curious about how the baby would react to Bach’s music.

Paulo, 44, from São Paulo, Brazil, chose to perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s Minuet in G Major because of its delicate and soothing melody, pleasing to the ears and soul.

As his father played the piece, baby Bernardo could be seen smiling, occasionally cooing in delight until the song ended, and he cried.

Paulo, known as “Lord Vinheteiro” to his fans on social media, described his son’s reaction to the music as always appearing “very happy.”

“As a father and musician, seeing my baby enjoy listening to classical music brings me great joy,” Paulo said. “Sharing these musical moments with him strengthens the emotional bond between us.”

When the musician shared the adorable moment of Bernardo listening to his music with his over 7 million subscribers on social media, the video quickly gained popularity. Many viewers shared their thoughts on this precious moment in the comments section.

One social media user wrote, “The baby clearly enjoys this piece.”

“Oh my, this moment is so beautiful. A lovely melody, a beautiful baby, and a cool dad,” another netizen wrote. “The world needs more fathers like you.”

While many fans love watching this video, Paulo mentioned that some people complained that it could be noise for the baby.

Bernardo, born on February 7, first heard classical music played by his father at just one month old – a piece by Mozart.

The musician believes that exposing children and unborn babies to classical music can directly influence their music preferences and tastes.

“My mother used to listen to classical music while she was pregnant with me,” he said. “Perhaps that’s why I now really love classical music!”

Paulo’s musical journey began in 1987 when he started formal piano lessons at the age of 7. Since 2008, he found his direction on YouTube and successfully developed his music career, focusing on producing and sharing piano performance videos. Over the years, he has even performed internationally, playing the piano abroad, making a living through music.

He hopes that Bernardo will follow in his footsteps.

“I believe that if he continues to watch me play the piano, he might also pursue a music career because children often mimic their parents,” he said.

While sharing his story, Paulo emphasized the beauty of classical music.

“I want to say that all parents should expose their children to classical music so that they can internalize high-quality music early on, giving them better development opportunities.”
