MISIA to Hold Charity Concert for Taiwan Earthquake, with Vivian Hsu as Guest

Japanese singer MISIA announced on her official Instagram account that she will hold a live performance on May 31st in Tokyo to support the earthquake-stricken areas in Taiwan. The event, titled “MISIA PEACEFUL PARK with Vivian Hsu – Hualien Boost at Billboard Live TOKYO Support Hualien ~ Pray and Donate ~ Premium Night,” will feature Taiwanese artist Vivian Hsu as a special guest, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to help those affected by the disaster.

Originally scheduled to perform at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) on April 4th for “MISIA Starry Night 12” concert, MISIA had to cancel the show following the 7.2-magnitude earthquake that struck Hualien, Taiwan on the morning of the 3rd. The decision was made by the organizers and MISIA prioritizing the safety of the audience and staff.

Upon announcing the cancellation, MISIA shared words of comfort in both Japanese and Traditional Chinese, expressing her deep concern for everyone in Taiwan affected by the disaster. She conveyed her heartfelt condolences to those impacted and their families, promising to return to Taiwan for another performance in the future. She prayed for everyone’s safety and hoped for a swift recovery for the affected areas.

In a recent update on her official Instagram account, MISIA revealed her plans for two charity performances set to take place on May 31st at Billboard Live TOKYO in the afternoon and evening. The events, titled “MISIA PEACEFUL PARK with Vivian Hsu – Hualien Boost at Billboard Live TOKYO Support Hualien ~ Pray and Donate ~ Premium Night,” will see a portion of the proceeds going towards aiding the earthquake-affected households.

MISIA’s official Instagram also disclosed, “Taiwanese artist Vivian Hsu has been invited as a special guest.
