“Dongguan Factory Suffers Sudden Explosion and Fire, Black Smoke and Flames Soar into the Sky”

On July 7th at noon, several netizens published videos claiming that a factory in Dongxiang Village, Zhongtang Town, Dongguan, Guangdong, suddenly exploded and caught fire. The circulated videos show thick smoke billowing at the scene of the accident, with fierce flames. Witnesses reported hearing a loud explosion. The official report stated that the area affected by the fire was approximately 300 square meters.

The Zhongtang Brigade of the Dongguan Zhongtang Town Fire Rescue Team reported that a fire broke out in a factory in Dongxiang Village, Zhongtang Town around 11:35 a.m. on July 7th, with an area of around 300 square meters engulfed in flames.

The report also mentioned that there were no casualties, but some individuals feeling unwell were taken to the hospital for examination. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.

According to self-media “Chongtian Bao”, this was not an ordinary fire; it almost painted the entire sky black, truly making it a “pitch-black, no daylight” scene.

With the fire area reaching three hundred square meters, the flames soared into the sky, reaching a height of a hundred meters.

Witnesses described how the sound of the explosion shook them to the core. One witness said they heard two explosions.

Another resident affected by the incident stated that the explosion shattered the east window glass of their house.
