Korean Bubble Makes Inroads into Japan: Rino Sashihara and Famous Band Join In

South Korean idol communication platform Bubble, which connects with global fans, is set to expand into Japan. On June 4th, the popular Japanese band Mrs. GREEN APPLE announced their participation in “Bubble for JAPAN.” Other Japanese artists who will join the platform include Rino Sashihara.

Bubble was created by the South Korean company Dear U and is financially supported by renowned entertainment firms SM and JYP. The platform allows artists to interact directly with fans, sharing photos, messages, and daily life updates, fostering a communicative atmosphere. With a built-in multi-language translation system, over a hundred talent agencies, more than 200 groups, and over 600 stars, including actors, have joined from South Korea.

Starting from June 4th, the system will officially launch in Japan under the name “Bubble for JAPAN.” In addition to Mrs. GREEN APPLE, the platform will welcome popular figures such as Rino Sashihara, singer Chika Watanabe, rock artist MIYAVI, well-known model Nicole Fujita, girl group SKE48, former STU48 member Mizuki Imamura, and the comedy group EXIT.

This move is expected to further bridge the communication gap between Japanese artists and their fans, providing a unique opportunity for direct engagement and interactions within the entertainment industry. The expansion of Bubble into Japan signifies a growing trend of international platforms facilitating closer connections between idols and their supporters across borders.
