Intelligence Technology and Guoguang Electric Chairman Lu Hongda recently resigned from the chairmanship of both companies due to allegations of raping a 27-year-old woman in the United States.
On April 20, Guoguang Electric Co., Ltd. issued a public announcement regarding the resignation of Lu Hongda as chairman, director, and CEO of the company. The announcement stated, “Mr. Lu Hongda has decided to resign from the positions of chairman, director, and CEO of the company due to health reasons and other important matters to attend to. After resigning, Mr. Lu Hongda will serve as a consultant to the company.”
According to the announcement, Lu Hongda’s original terms as chairman and director were set from January 26, 2024, to January 25, 2027, and as CEO from November 12, 2025, to January 25, 2027.
On the same day, Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd. also released a public announcement about the resignation of Lu Hongda as chairman and director of the company. The announcement stated that the board recently received Mr. Lu Hongda’s resignation report citing health reasons and other important matters.
Several mainland China media outlets reported this news on April 25 and expressed surprise at Lu Hongda’s sudden resignation. However, upon further investigation by the media, it was discovered that Lu Hongda resigned specifically because he was accused of raping a 27-year-old woman living in Florida, United States.
According to a report by Zhejiang Finance News Media Technology Co., Ltd.’s publication “Finance” on April 24, they obtained a court ruling from the Middle District of Fort Myers, Florida, showing that several branches of Intelligence Technology in the U.S. were facing joint liability lawsuits in a sexual assault case. The document was dated February 2026.
Blue Whale News acquired the aforementioned court ruling and revealed that a 27-year-old woman living in Florida accused a Chinese citizen named Hongda Lu of rape, who was the chairman of Genimous Technology Co., Ltd.
According to the company profile of Intelligence Technology on Wind, Genimous Technology Co., Ltd. is the English name of the company, and Hongda Lu has a name similarity with Lu Hongda, who had recently resigned as chairman of Intelligence Technology.
Public information shows that Guoguang Electric and Intelligence Technology are two listed companies belonging to the “Intelligence Group.” Lu Hongda served as chairman of Guoguang Electric in 2019, and in 2020, he was nominated by the shareholders to also serve as chairman of Intelligence Technology.
The “Intelligence Group” refers to a capital group that controls multiple listed and unlisted companies, including Guoguang Electric, through a multi-layer equity structure with Intelligence Technology at its core.
