On the occasion of Memorial Day long weekend, former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley visited Israel, which is dedicated to eliminating Hamas, leaving a message of support on a shell.
In a social media post by former Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon, a photo showed Haley during her visit to Israel, where she decisively wrote “eliminate them!” on the shell.
Haley’s message on the shell echoed her previous remarks in an interview with Fox News, where she condemned Hamas for attacking Israel and urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “eliminate them.”
“I would say to Netanyahu: ‘eliminate them.’ Eliminate them. Hamas is doing this, you know Iran is the puppet master behind it, eliminate them,” Haley said. “They need to pay a price for what they just did.”
According to a press release from the Israeli government, Prime Minister Netanyahu met with Haley at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem on Wednesday, and thanked her for her long-standing support for the State of Israel, especially at this time.
Netanyahu told her, “Israel is determined to achieve all its war goals: to decisively defeat Hamas, get our hostages back, and ensure that Hamas no longer poses a threat to Israel.”
“Our victory is your victory, it is crucial to ensure the rights of free societies. Starting from Israel, including the United States and all countries in between, all have the right to defend themselves,” he said.
Haley reassured Netanyahu saying, “I’m here to let you know that the majority of Americans stand with Israel.”
“Israel is fighting the enemies of the United States,” she said. “What many people don’t know is that Hezbollah attacks Israel every day, this is unacceptable.”
“Let’s bring the hostages home, let’s defeat Hamas,” she said. “Israel continues to treat every life with such care, and everything they do to protect lives, America needs to stay strong, but any country that believes in freedom and democracy needs to stand with you.”
The radical organization Hamas infiltrated and attacked Israel on October 7 last year, resulting in over 1,300 casualties and more than 250 people taken hostage, leading to a new round of conflict. Israel has vowed to eliminate Hamas controlling Gaza.
Haley stated on Tuesday, “A quarter of Gaza neighborhoods have been murdered or taken hostage by Hamas. No nation will accept this and Israel should not either.”
During her visit, she reiterated her commitment to Israel. Haley said, “Don’t listen to the media reports. I assure you: America stands with Israel!”
During this Memorial Day long weekend trip, Haley visited the sites of the Nova Music Festival where Hamas carried out a bloody massacre last year, in Nir Oz and Sderot Kibbutz.
She posted on social media that she met a nurse whose “life has forever changed” after the events of the October 7 attack.
“Like my daughter, Tali Biner, a nurse in her twenties, who loves music and friends. But her life changed forever at the Nova Music Festival,” Haley said, as the nurse heard firsthand how her festival companions were raped, mutilated, and shot by Hamas.
“She hid for hours, praying not to be next.”
“Now, she bravely speaks out about her experience, bearing witness for hundreds who couldn’t testify,” Haley continued, highlighting that these people were “raped, tortured, kidnapped, and murdered just for being Israelis.”
CNN reported that as Haley visited Israel, Israeli tanks were seen for the first time in the center of Rafah. Videos on Wednesday showed the Israeli army pushing westward near the Gaza coastline.
Israeli Defense Forces spokesperson Major General Daniel Hagari stated that the military is operating in Rafah in a “targeted” and “precise” manner.
The White House made it clear that they believe Israel’s actions in Rafah do not cross the red line that would lead to the withdrawal of US military support.
At a White House press briefing on Tuesday, National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said President Biden has no plans to change US policy due to Israel’s actions in Rafah.
Kirby reiterated that if a “large-scale ground offensive” is launched in Rafah, Biden will reevaluate US support for Israel.
