909 appreciates Cannes with spring breeze, tastes French oysters yet yearns for Taiwanese flavors.

Taiwanese music group “911” member Chunfeng, after being nominated for the Golden Horse Award for Best Newcomer and the “2024 Taipei Film Festival” Best New Actor, his starring art film “MONGREL” has been selected for the “Director’s Fortnight” of the 77th Cannes Film Festival. He was invited to participate in the film promotion recently, marking Chunfeng’s first visit to Cannes.

In the picturesque Cannes, Chunfeng jokingly referred to himself as not a “web celebrity” but a “web troublemaker” (a pun), casually sharing a few photos taken on the streets that instantly caught the attention of netizens.

Chunfeng shared his experience of attending the Taiwan Night event on the 16th after arriving in Cannes, followed by strolling around Cannes to immerse in the atmosphere of the film festival. Next on the agenda is the Director’s Fortnight premiere series event on May 20, where he is looking forward to participating in the world premiere with the cast and crew of “MONGREL.”

Of course, besides the beautiful scenery, one cannot miss the local delicacies when in Cannes. Chunfeng embraced the local customs by enjoying gourmet dishes on the streets, particularly relishing the romantic oysters of the azure coast of Southern France, and he revealed, “When it comes to delicious food, Taiwanese cuisine still takes the top spot.” He expressed his eagerness to return to Taiwan immediately to savor the authentic Taiwanese flavors.

During Taiwan Night in Cannes, Chunfeng’s entire outfit was provided by a luxury French brand, which perfectly complemented his aura and image with its magnificent elegance.

In Cannes, Chunfeng also had rare encounters with many Taiwanese celebrities such as Nine Knives, Chris Wu, and especially with his good friend Ko Chen-tung, casually posing for stylish photos on the street. The photos caused a frenzy among fans even before they were uploaded, with many praising, “Such a fashionable duo, even in casual street photos.”

Despite receiving successive accolades on the big screen, Chunfeng expressed that singing is still his greatest passion. He humbly attributed his nominations to the collaboration with the director and the team, finding his journey to Cannes with “MONGREL” incredibly novel and enriching his experiences.
