An 85-year-old woman in Surin Province, Thailand, miraculously regained consciousness 40 minutes after being pronounced dead, displaying unusual childlike behaviors upon awakening.
According to a report from the Thai website Thaiger, the incident took place in the Nang Rong district of Surin Province on February 5th. Local resident Phua Sriphadung, aged 85, was found unconscious around 9 p.m.
Sriphadung’s family believed she had passed away. They gathered to mourn and contacted emergency services to assist in transporting her body.
Just as they were preparing to take her body to a nearby temple for funeral arrangements, she suddenly regained consciousness and sat up, shocking her family members who were present.
She claimed that a monk had brought her back. Following her awakening, she exhibited childlike behavior, such as wanting to be held and having a preference for sweets.
Her family believed that her miraculous revival was due to her accumulated good deeds and blessings. They promptly arranged for a monk to conduct religious ceremonies at home to fulfill her wishes.
Sriphadung is petite, standing only 112 centimeters tall. Despite her childlike appearance, her behavior remains coherent.
The abbot of a temple in Nang Rong district mentioned that he had never personally witnessed such an event of someone being pronounced dead and returning to life, but historical records indicate precedents for such occurrences.
In a previous report by Epoch Times, a similar incident of a person coming back to life after being declared dead occurred last year in Suphan Buri, Thailand. A 59-year-old man in the area collapsed while showering, stopped breathing, but suddenly revived en route to the hospital in an ambulance, and even ran 3 kilometers back home after getting out of the vehicle, simply because he did not want to go to the hospital.
