He pointed out that China has intensified military intimidation and employed gray-zone strategies such as economic coercion and cognitive warfare, affecting global peace and stability. He expressed hope for international support for Taiwan to strengthen the power of democracy.
Minister of National Defense of the Republic of China, Chiu Kuei-hsung, recently stated that Taiwan must make the world aware that it is China, not Taiwan, that deliberately undermines the current peace status quo in the Taiwan Strait. Therefore, the national army has disclosed related harassment facts, countered cognitive warfare, and exchanged intelligence with allied countries to grasp the dynamics of surrounding sea and air activities, incorporating China’s measures against Taiwan into the national army’s planning for both peacetime and wartime responses.
