5-year-old girl in Hangzhou has her scalp torn and stitched with 20 needles in amusement park.

Recently, in Hangzhou City, a 5-year-old girl had her head hair caught in a facility while playing at a children’s amusement park, causing her scalp to tear and requiring 20 stitches.

According to a report from Zhejiang TV station, on March 2nd, Ms. Yin took her daughter to the Miabeixing Lollipop Children’s Amusement Park on the third floor of Wuyue Plaza in Hangzhou Gongshu district for some fun. There was a soft play structure in the park with a slider that could move from left to right automatically. Children were playing on it by lying down, and her daughter also went to play but ended up getting injured.

“She covered her head, her hands were covered in blood, she ran over screaming and looking for me,” Ms. Yin said. Her daughter had a 13-centimeter wound on her head, exposing her skull, and blood was flowing continuously.

Surveillance footage provided by Ms. Yin showed her daughter lying on the moving slider, and soon after, the child ran away while holding her head. Ms. Yin mentioned that there was a gap between the slider and the wall where fingers could be stuck. The child’s hair got caught there, and the movement of the slider caused her scalp to tear.

Ms. Yin said that after taking her child to the hospital, the doctors had to stitch her daughter’s scalp with 20 stitches and also performed some tissue suturing. Her daughter has been discharged from the hospital but is unable to go to school, experiencing stress reactions such as being unwilling to speak and not being able to be out of sight of her parents for even a second.

Ms. Yin believes that there are hidden dangers in the facility, and there are issues with on-site management as well. After her daughter’s accident, the staff did not take any measures, and even the emergency call was made by her.

Ms. Yin mentioned that after her daughter was injured, she spent approximately 14,000 to 15,000 yuan in medical expenses. However, when she contacted the park owner through various channels, the owner only paid 12,000 yuan and had a very bad attitude. As her daughter needs further hair transplant treatment, she hopes the store will provide a reasonable compensation.

Ms. Yin provided the contact information of the store’s responsible person, but the reporter’s calls and messages did not receive any response.
