5 killed in two-car collision in northern Los Angeles County

On Sunday evening (April 28th), a serious collision occurred near the city of Lancaster in northern Los Angeles County, resulting in the deaths of five people.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident took place around 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of East 106th Street in the Littlerock area, and Pearblossom Highway (State Route 138).

Images from the scene show two cars involved in the crash. Both vehicles were thrown off the road during the collision. One Toyota car ended up completely overturned in a roadside bush, while the other Mitsubishi car flipped onto its side on the roadside dirt.

The identities of the victims have not been confirmed yet, however, CHP has confirmed that five people lost their lives.

CHP issued a SigAlert at 9:09 p.m., closing the east and westbound lanes of East 106th Street for investigation. The road was reopened at 4:30 a.m.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
