On the afternoon of September 26, a serious rear-end collision occurred at the Erdaoba Bridge on Hu-Kun Expressway in Guiding County, Qiannan Prefecture, Guizhou, resulting in at least 1 death and 1 injury.
According to the driving record released by a netizen, at 3:15 pm on September 26, when the netizen was driving near the Erdaoba Bridge, traffic ahead seemed to be congested. The netizen slowly braked and moved forward, and at that moment, a green truck from behind rapidly crashed into the congested traffic ahead. One white sedan was hit and flipped over the guardrail, falling off the bridge. The video shows severely damaged vehicles, with the overturned white car lying on the ground, about a drop of over ten meters from the bridge deck.
In the comments section of the video, a netizen stated, “The person who was thrown out is gone.” “The video shows that the cars ahead had already slowed down, the large truck should have easily noticed the congestion ahead, but still overtaking at such speed indicates either the driver was dozing off or not paying attention.”
In the evening of September 26, the Qiannan Traffic Police issued a report stating that at 3:15 pm on the same day, a five-vehicle rear-end collision occurred at kilometer 1781 plus 700 meters on the Hu-Kun Expressway (within Guiding County) in the direction from Duyun to Guiyang (small place name: Erdaoba Bridge), resulting in 1 death and 1 injury.
