On January 1st, 2025, the New Year in New York City welcomed double the joy with the birth of twin baby girls in Brooklyn. The twin baby girls were born in the Kings County Hospital, part of the New York City public hospital system, in Brooklyn. The older sister was born at 12:01 am, weighing 6 pounds 13.9 ounces; just a minute later, the younger sister was born, weighing 5 pounds 15.4 ounces. Their parents, Sheneece Crumbie and Jordan Tomlinson, from Crown Heights, already had two children, and with the arrival of these twin daughters, their family of four has now expanded to six. Both baby girls and the mother are reported to be in good health.
Shortly after the birth of the twin baby girls, a baby boy, also a New Year baby, was born at 12:14 am at the NYU Langone-Tisch Hospital. The baby boy weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and his parents are Naomi and Jacob Gottesman from Rockaway in Queens. The Gottesman couple had initially expected their son to be born on Christmas Eve, but he arrived more than a week later, making him a New Year baby.
This heartwarming start to the new year with the birth of these three babies has brought joy and excitement to their families and the community. It is a special moment for the parents as they welcome their new additions to the family. The babies’ arrival is a symbol of hope and new beginnings, marking the start of 2025 with happiness and blessings. As they grow up, these New Year babies will have a unique story to tell about their special birth on the first day of the year.
